Do you ever wonder what makes Chamilia charms different from Pandora or Italian Charms or the popular Trollbeads? Well, basically it is the bead designs. Pandora, Troll and Chamilia for example are all hand-crafted, well designed beads and while some of the beads look similar in design--particularly the murano glass beads, for example--most of them are quite different.
Even so, there's a lot of competition amongst the charm designers and jewellers. Not so long ago there was quite a bit of legal back and forth, and accusations between Pandora and Chamilia for example, so it is a fairly competitive market. Pandora and Trollbeads seem to head up these markets, and they are some of the most popular charm bracelets available on the market these days. Still, Chamilia does have a respectable clientele and it is a favourite with many folks.
As with most of the Charms available to add to bracelets, Chamilia charms are meant to represent certain significant occasions and are recommended as gifts, to commemorate a special event such as graduating, the birth of a new baby, changing jobs, special holidays, etc. As such, they do have quite a nice array of beads to chose from for this purpose.
